Digital "Arm Balance Essentials" Course now on sale!

This digital manual was designed to give you basic tools to create a safe and fun arm balance/inversion practice. The information contained here is by no means comprehensive, rather a collection of some of my favorite drills and preparations, developed in a “trial and error” method over the past several years. Practicing these drills may inspire you to find new ways to strengthen and prepare yourself for inversions in your practice. Big secret: This is boring stuff. As with most things in life, the boring work precedes the fun. Even if you don’t “nail” the pose, remember that the real gifts in life are found in the journey, not the destination, and the dedication you put into these preparations will benefit you in other ways unrelated to the postures.

What's included?

  • 19 page PDF manual:

    • Forearms, wrists, hands, and fingers - strength building drills and stretches. This is your foundation when you balance on your hands and arms. Your hands, wrists and forearms need to be strong enough to support the weight of your body when you invert.

    • Shoulders, chest, upper back and side body - strength building drills and stretches. Your shoulders are also part of your foundation in arm balances - it's important to strengthen AND work on mobility in the shoulders specifically for handstand and forearm balance.

    • Core - front, back, and sides. There is much more to your powerhouse than "pull your navel to your spine." More than 20 drills to build strength in your core - we only did a few of these in the workshop. Many of these drills will also build shoulder strength needed for handstand and forearm balance.

    • "Dessert" poses. Yin postures for recovery and or preparation. Calm your nervous system. Surrender. Slow down. I'll be adding a 60 minute Yin Yoga video practice for upper body (chest, back, and shoulders) to the library within the next week or two, which will be a great compliment to your strength building drills. This practice will be EXCLUSIVE to workshop attendees or anyone else who invests in the digital library. It will not be offered on my free YouTube channel.

    • Integrating Arm Balances and Handstand into your practice, including photos and some videos.

    • General Arm Balance Preparations, Considerations, and helpful tips for a balanced practice

    • Handstand-specific strategies for success

    • Progressive handstand drills (with video)

    • The "why" behind inversions. What are the benefits?

  • Sara's Signature Class in PDF form. I plan to also record this class and add it to the digital library. The master class will be exclusive to the digital library as well.

The cost, $30. A link to the digital files will be e-mailed to you upon payment.
